Forgiveness
Are you ready to let go? Are you ready to move on? Then Forgive.
The Bible tells us to get rid of bitterness, rage, anger, brawling, slander, and malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. The word of God commands us to forgive so that we too can be forgiven. Forgiving is a directive from the Lord God almighty. But forgiveness is not always easy, but to move on, it’s necessary. A part of letting go of what has hurt us is to forgive those who have trespassed against us.
Why must you forgive others when you were wronged? The fact you were harmed is undeniable, and because of it, you suffered. The pain or injustice inflicted upon you is real. Now the challenges you face because of your experiences present themselves in anxiety, depression, self-doubt, constant worry, fear, and so much more. But how long will you suffer? There is a path forward.
Have you ever heard, forgiveness is not for the other person, it’s for you? This is a powerful and impactful statement. Why, because in it is the key to your healing. Even if the person who has wronged you never comes before you, bow down, and begs your forgiveness, to begin to let go and experience healing, you will need to forgive. You may never come face-to-face again with those who harmed you. Time and distance may remove you physically from such a terrible situation. To be free, to let go, to begin to experience your healing, be willing to forgive.
Let’s be real, forgiveness does not mean condoning or agreeing with mistreatment. Forgiveness does not mean pretending something horrible didn’t happen. Forgiveness does mean letting go of anger and resentment. It does mean letting go of anger and hostility towards those who harmed you or treated you poorly. Although having feelings of anger, mistrust, or bitterness are legitimate emotions, forgiveness is not for the one who harmed you. Forgiveness is for you. It’s the way to be free. LET GO; BE FREE!!!
What are you thinking?
What if I said, there is a better way forward? There is a different way of thinking about your pain, the trauma of your past. Would you try it? You can be free of trauma that grips you, holding you firmly in your past. It’s all a matter of what you think and how you think it. What you allow yourself to think and how
What are you thinking?
What if I said, there is a better way forward? There is a different way of thinking about your pain, the trauma of your past. Would you try it? You can be free of trauma that grips you, holding you firmly in your past. It’s all a matter of what you think and how you think it. What you allow yourself to think and how you think- can be the key that unlocks your door to effectively dealing with trauma.
Thoughts are the way we reason. They are the way we formulate ideas and form our opinions about ourselves. They are how we think of ourselves and the world around us. Our thoughts are our viewpoints concerning a situation. They represent experiences we’ve had that now influence our point of view concerning a situation. Our thoughts represent who we are, good, bad, or indifferent.
Thoughts are shaped by many factors, like who your parents are, your genes, your education, and your life experiences. Mostly, thoughts are generated subconsciously. When you have thoughts again and again about a situation, those thoughts begin to shape your attitude. When conscious of those thoughts, you can choose to change them. So, what are you thinking?
We do not have to be slaves to our thoughts. When you accept everything, your mind tells you is true, you become a slave to your thoughts. But what if you choose a new way of thinking, a different way of thinking? What if we use the word of God to think as God’s word tells us? We can change our negative thinking and replace negative thoughts with good ones.
The word of God says this about how we think. Romans 12:2- And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. 2 Corinthians 10:5- The word of God tells us to control what we are thinking. casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. Philippians 4:8- Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.
The word of God directs us to control what we're thinking. His words are a lamp unto our path. God says it can be done, so then we can do it. Now, tell me, what are you thinking?
I have trusted God my whole life and now I want to teach others about receiving healing in Christ
